30-day returns
We accept returns of eligible website purchases within 30 days of the date you receive your order. Contact Melden to request return instructions and return your piece within this period.
- Jewelry must be in its original, unworn and undamaged condition.
- Items must show no signs of wear, damage, alteration, resizing or modification after delivery.
- Return all original packaging, certificates, documentation and accessories.
We inspect every return and may decline a return or refund if the piece does not meet these conditions.
The 5% handling fee
All returns and refunds are subject to a 5% handling fee, except where prohibited by applicable law. The fee is calculated on the merchandise amount being refunded, after discounts and excluding sales tax, and is deducted from the refund to your original payment method. This also applies to approved order-cancellation refunds.
Example: For a $1,000 merchandise refund, the handling fee is $50. You receive $950, plus any applicable refundable tax. Any tax adjustment is handled separately.
Shipping and approved return shipping are free. The handling fee is separate from shipping costs; no original or approved return shipping charge is deducted.
Made-to-order & personalized jewelry
Our standard 30-day return policy applies to eligible made-to-order products purchased through our website, including the metal, diamond and setting options offered on the product page.
Additional personalization, engraving, resizing, alterations or modifications requested after purchase may affect return eligibility. Contact us about bespoke terms before commissioning a piece.
How to start a return
- Email hello@meldenjewelry.com or contact Melden within 30 days of receiving your order. Include your order number.
- We will provide return instructions and a free return shipping label for eligible returns.
- Pack your jewelry securely with its original packaging and documents. Use the return method we provide, and do not send jewelry back before receiving instructions.
Inspection & refunds
Once we receive your return, we inspect the jewelry to confirm eligibility. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, less the 5% handling fee. Allow additional time for your bank, card issuer or payment provider to post the refund after we issue it.
Damaged, defective or incorrect orders
If your jewelry arrives damaged, defective or different from what you ordered, contact us as soon as possible. We will review the issue and work with you on an appropriate resolution. These terms do not limit rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
